Live Event - Frostbite!

As winter approaches, prepare yourself for Gimkit Frostbite, a one-time-only in-game event! Attend the event with your students and experience a storm that will cause Gimkit to change…forever.

This is a one-time event, so make sure to be in-game on December 5th at 1pm EST. Make sure everybody gets into the game a few minutes before so you don’t miss it.

You’ll load into the event by hosting any of our 2D game modes.

Here are some tips for the day of the event:

Get there early - This event might cause our servers to become overloaded, so we recommend arriving early! Start hosting a game as early as 30 minutes before (12:30pm EST) and you’ll be good to go for the event. While you all wait, your class gets to play whichever mode you picked: Fishtopia, Capture The Flag, Tag: Domination, or Farmchain!

Turn it to 11 - Make sure your sound is on! We know some of you turn music & sound off, but make sure it’s on for this event!

To increase server capacity & help ensure everything runs smoothly on the day of the event, Gimkit will be slightly different.

Here are some changes you might want to know about:

If you’re playing a live game between 12:00pm EST - 12:30pm EST, you might get kicked out as we make server space for the event.
Students will be unable to work on assignments on the day of the event. After the event, we’ll re-enable assignments again.
Non-2D game modes will be disabled on the day of the event. These will be re-enabled after the event.
Spectator Mode will be disabled on the day of the event, meaning you will experience the event with your students too! Spectator Mode will be re-enabled after the event.
Students will be unable to host live games on the day of the event but will be able to after the event.
